To my wonderful patients:

First and foremost,

YES, WE ARE OPEN!

I am providing some pertinent updates to keep you informed about what is going on at your favorite dental office. I also want to keep you informed of changes that have been made to help ensure a safe and comfortable experience for you.

As always…

We have conducted our dental practice with a great emphasis on patient safety, instrument sterility, waterline testing, system protocols, office cleanliness, continuing education and more. We have consistently been reviewed and awarded very high marks by our Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and infection control representative.

Implementing the highest level of universal precautions in regards to infection control and patient safety is nothing new to me. These techniques were instilled in me from the outset of my dental education in the early 1990s at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. I am constantly looking for innovative ways to ensure the safety of my patients and staff.

Some of our new safety implementations…

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) — You may notice that that your friendly dental staff will be a bit more difficult to recognize! We will be wearing masks, eye and head protection most of the time. You, the patient, will be given a mask if you do not have one. You will also be provided with protective foot coverings to wear during your stay at our office.

Patient Protocol — Before entering our office, you will be asked a few COVID-19 related questions both on the phone and outside the office prior to your visit. Your temperature will also be taken prior to entering the facility. These protocols are in accordance with guidelines set forth by the American Dental Association®.

In regards to the air…

High vacuum suction devices will be installed to reduce airborne particulates by 90% during your dental procedures. Additionally, all operatory rooms will have highly effective air purification units installed that will completely turn over the air in the room three times every hour. These purification units remove 99.9% of particulates down to a very tiny 0.1 micron.

Our Santa Clara dentist and team look forward to seeing you and are excited to continue to provide you with the very highest level of dentistry!
